 Easy to use video camera August 21, 2010

This has to be the easiest camera to use.. just point and click the big red button.
Quality is amazing for the price.
The only down side I have come across so far is that it will pick up wind noise if used outside.

I was really please with my Flip camera, from the moment I got it, easy to use, it's captured some great memories for me. BUT now it's out of warranty & there is a problem.... All I get is crackling for a sound track. I've spoken to Flip about it and, as I've read on a few other sites, they tell you to remove the batteries for 2 days (to re-set the camera) then try it again.. The problem is not solved though & there is nothing more they can do, they are suggesting I have dropped the camera. (Surely this is the sort of camera that you do not wrap in cotton wool, it fits in your pocket, that's the point, it should be able to take the odd bump here & there)? I can honestly say I have not 'dropped' my camera, but that's it, nothing more to be done, I just have to chuck it in the trash because it's unusable as it is. So beware the after sales service will not do much for you if you get any problems.

This is brill, easy to use and handy. Keep it in your pocket, bag. Good quaility pictures and video. Easy to transfer to you PC using Flipshare. The only down side is unable to download to facebook, but there must be a way round it.

Very happy with overall video production. I have had it a few weeks and have come across a couple of software problems. It switches off, at first I thought it was battery failure but after changing batteries several times after 15 - 20 minutes of use I found that taking the batteries out and re-inserting them gave another 15 - 20 minutes of videoing. I also found that sometimes when you pressed the record stop button nothing happened and it kept on recording and it took several presses before it stopped. Although these faults are annoying I really like the unit and I suspect that we may have a software upgrade sometime.

a great product that is simple and very effective to use.I managed to produce several small videos for use with my class of special needs pupils in a matter of minutes and the pupils have also used the camera.Probably better to get the rechargeable battery pack. I didn't notice a warning that the battery was low - but those are the only small negatives.
