I needed a card reader for my second computer, as the old one would not recognise SD cards with larger capacity than 1Gb, so I bought this product.
Windows XP recognised this device without me having to do anything in the slightest bit technical, and after inserting my Kingston 2Gb Elite Pro SD card I was able to view my files and play an AVI video directly from the card with no jerkiness at all. Similarly, it recognised my Sony Memory Stick Duo with no problems.
The device itself is beautifully compact, and has an array of LED's along the top which light up for various functions, and let's you know what type of card(s) are inserted in the reader, though something I thought was unnecessary as I know what card I put in!
The transfer rate seemed incredibly fast thanks to USB2.
To sum up, this device is very compact, looks good, is fast and well worth the 6 I paid for it!

Plug in and go with out any fiddling. So easy. Had it working with in seconds on my Apple MacBook Pro. Have only tried it with Compact Flash card. Very quick and at such a good price.

Fabulous, super easy, just plug into your USB, put your card in and it reads it without installing anything into your computer. Highly recommended and cute design.

Having looked at numerous other card readers, I bought one of these mainly due to all the positive reviews here. What a pleasant surprise to realise not one of them was exaggerating!
This is a FANTASTIC PRODUCT! Plugged it into laptop (running Vista) and it installed driver and set itself up in 3 seconds. It opened/read from a 2 gig Compact Flash II card with exceptional speed (at least 10 times faster than my old CF reader.) Size is pleasantly compact/small, looks sleek, and the price cannot be argued with! -- shame it doesn't come in a hand-made, quilted leather case by Chanel ...it deserves one.
Look no further, BUY ONE OF THESE!!
