Pocket size genius August 29, 2008 Auntie P (Bedfordshire, UK) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
Just got this camera from the airport. Enough battery to be able to look at and learn a few things whilst on the plane. Very easy to use although the on/off button is quite small, so anyone with bigs hands will find this camera a problem. The battery can be recharged and it lasted the week plus extra when I returned. It's video is easy to use with just one button. Haven't tried to upload onto the computer yet, so can't comment on this. Big screen. Zoom easy to use, but again on the small side. If you want a camera that is small and compact then this is the one. The pictures also look very clear on the screen. Needed a new camera as the other SLR camera was lost. Too big and bulky to keep an eye on!
Stunning to look at - Some sacrifices for size. May 3, 2008 Mr. Guy Mcevoy (Birmingham, UK) 23 out of 23 found this review helpful
After my last Canon Ixus failed (my fourth in Six years) I decided to try another make. Saw this at the airport and was knocked out by the size. This is one small, thin camera. It has a wow factor! The specs look pretty decent - 10 mp etc. The menu is easy to use, the screen is large (as big as the camera) and easy to see. It has a sepearate button to start video. The video by the way is brilliant quality! As with many things in life - it has its flaws - the big one is the lack of image stabilisation. Because it is so small, shakes are magnified. Now, I consider myself to have a steady hold - but I still find maybe a third of the pictures I take have some sort of motion blur. I'm still trying to find any features that will help compensate for this in the menu - without success yet. If you want an occasional snapper that will have zero pocket bulge for a night out, and that will truly wow people with its looks - then this is the business. If it's to be your primary camera, and sharpness matters to you then you'll probably have to get something a bit more bulky.
