very disappointing December 14, 2007 J. Milward (Midlands UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is the worst digital camera I have ever come across. It shuts itself down for no reason. it depletes reuseable batteries in minutes and the quality of indoor photographs is unbelievably poor. I have used a number of other Optios at work and they are good but this is the black sheep of the family - don't buy it
So disappointing! August 16, 2007 Amy (UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I didn't think the image quality was too bad. But after four months the lens got stuck out and somehow the focus bit cracked so that was the end of it. It was going to cost £80 to repair, so it's really not worth it. It's a shame, but stay away from this one.

Please don't waste your hard-earned money on this camera. I have owned one for 3 months and feel completely conned. It's rubbish. The picture quality is very poor. I wasn't even looking for a high-end camera - just a simple point and shoot, nothing flashy. Very disappointed. Grainy shots, almost always blurry. Spend the extra money and get a canon.

Superb little point-and-shoot camera! November 17, 2006 Ed Nicely (London, UK) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
Have had this little Pentax E10 for a few weeks now and all I can say is that it's been superb. Have since read a couple of negative reviews and felt compelled to defend it! If you're planning to take up professional photography then of course this is no match for some of the cameras you can pick up if you have twice as much money to spend but for under a hundred quid I've been very impressed with the sharpness and quality of the pictures and the user-friendly interface, not to mention the build-quality of the thing itself. It's simplicity makes it ideal for quick snaps at family occasions etc., but with a bit of fiddling I've even managed to do some nice arty/landscape type shots (admittedly with a bit of touching up in PaintShop afterwards - tip: don't bother installing the bundled software just connect it up and if you're running Windows XP your PC should pick it up instantly). Only slight downer is the battery life - I was shocked initially at how quickly it got through the pair of Duracell Ultras that came in the box - although using high-capacity rechargeables has improved things considerably.
All in all I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a no-frills point and shoot camera.
